Created from the same stardust left over from the Cosmic Bang, these star-crossed lovers have traveled through time and space searching for one another. Fate has not been on their side though up to this point, as external forces have left them severed and unable to reach each other...
Divided across the galaxy from birth, they have used nothing except their heart as a compass. "We'll get there", they both would whisper to themselves each night as they stare up at the radiant stars that lit up the infinite sky. Wondering if someone was out there, searching for them in everyone that they meet.
Suddenly, like a sign sent from above, a star jolts across the sky!
Without hesitation, they both wish for the same thing.
"I wish I could find the soul that will make me feel complete. I will never stop pursuing you until I have found you."
That was all the universe needed to hear.
Known as a galactic nomad, Nexus was the finest bounty hunter roaming the cosmos. While collecting samples from a nearby asteroid, he was ambushed and captured by the monkey military, the Federation. After having his memory wiped, he would soon be experimented on and merged with the sentient technology Genesys. In hopes to create a cybernetic super soldier that the Federation would use to impose fear across the galaxy.
These experiments were unsuccessful though and Nexus was able to override the Genesys technology in his brain and escape the facility and is now on the run. He has been referred to by Director Nova as a myth with no evidence supporting his existence. Still there are those who report visits in their dreams. Like a living shadow, watching and observing them in a state of sleep paralysis before finally awaking them.
Galaxis has been monitoring the evolutionary tactics of diverse primitive species for millennia. Residing in remote star systems, he observes from afar as newly habitable planets continue to host new and improved life. Tasked with the assignment of overseeing that the current evolutionary cycle is sustained and balanced with time, Galaxis only intervenes in planetary affairs when a species has reached a cognitive apex, and is incapable of taking the next step in evolution.
Legend has it, that anyone that is abducted by Galaxis will be deemed worthy of his knowledge and hold the key to the secret of their species' survival. However if they are deemed unworthy of this great power, their soul will be obliterated into dark matter instantaneously, along with all other organisms sharing that same genetic code.
"Ideas are the building blocks that cluster together inside the mind and structure an organism's growth." - Galaxis
After the assassination of Director Apollo, Shane Nova was appointed Director of the Federation. As an ape known to be a master of manipulation, some suspect Nova was involved in Apollo's murder. Nova skillfully used this assassination as political leverage to invoke fear and impose his administration's agenda throughout the galaxy.
As the acting government with virtually unlimited power and resources, the Federation ordered robotic peace keepers be sent to each planet to ensure order was maintained. This violation of basic monkey rights led to the uprising of the Resistance and sparked the beginning of the Galaxy War.
"It's not what you speak that influences, rather how you speak it." - Director Nova
Pharaoh Duat (pronounced "do-aht") was the ruler of Egypt around approximately 1800 BC and believed the spirit existed even after physical death. He concluded the Eye of Horus or more commonly known today as the spiritual third eye, was located in the Pineal gland of the brain and was the root of the existence of spirit.
Duat used the sacred mushroom in spiritual rituals for himself and his loyal servants. Giving them a glimpse into the mystical realms they could not access on their own, including the realm of the dead. Duat believed these mushroom ceremonies were the key to the survival of his own spirit and unlocking the mysteries of the gods.
