Pharaoh Duat (pronounced "do-aht") was the ruler of Egypt around approximately 1800 BC and believed the spirit existed even after physical death. He concluded the Eye of Horus or more commonly known today as the spiritual third eye, was located in the Pineal gland of the brain and was the root of the existence of spirit.
Duat used the sacred mushroom in spiritual rituals for himself and his loyal servants. Giving them a glimpse into the mystical realms they could not access on their own, including the realm of the dead. Duat believed these mushroom ceremonies were the key to the survival of his own spirit and unlocking the mysteries of the gods.
